Continue with a visit to Dong Xuan Market, Hanoi’s largest traditional market, where bustling stalls overflow with local produce, street snacks, textiles, and everyday life. Continue to the historic Long Bien Bridge, an iconic iron bridge spanning the Red River and offering a glimpse into the city’s layered past and vibrant local rhythms.
Next, wander into the vibrant Old Quarter, a fascinating maze of narrow streets alive with local markets, hidden cafés, and generations of artisans preserving traditional crafts. Pause by the peaceful waters of Hoan Kiem Lake before crossing the iconic red bridge to Ngoc Son Temple, an elegant sanctuary set on its own small island.

Visit Phu Tay Ho Temple, dedicated to Saint Mother Lieu Hanh, one of Vietnam’s Four Immortals. Continue to Van Nien Pagoda, one of Hanoi’s oldest temples, before exploring the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology (closed on Mondays). Arrive early in Lao Cai and transfer to Sapa through scenic mountain roads.
After breakfast and time to refresh, begin your exploration of one of Sapa’s vibrant local ethnic markets (subject to the day of the week), where hill tribe communities gather to trade goods, livestock, handicrafts, and fresh produce. This colourful market offers a fascinating glimpse into the daily life and traditions of the region’s ethnic minority groups. Following your market visit, set out on a guided walk through the surrounding countryside.
Along the way, you will pass terraced rice fields, quiet trails, and breathtaking mountain landscapes. Your guide will share insights into the traditions, clothing, and daily life of these ethnic minority communities.
At the end of your walk, meet your driver and transfer to your mountain retreat.
Overnight: Topas Ecolodge, known for its spectacular panoramic views.

After breakfast, transfer to the Fansipan Cable Car Station for a spectacular journey to the summit of Fansipan, known as the "Roof of Indochina" at 3,143 metres above sea level.
Enjoy breathtaking panoramic views over the Hoang Lien Son mountain range and the surrounding landscapes as you ascend by one of the world's longest cable car systems.
Upon arrival, take time to explore the mountaintop complex, visit the spiritual temples and pagodas, and admire the stunning scenery from the highest peak in Indochina.
After your visit, return to Topas Ecolodge and spend the remainder of the day at leisure. You may choose to relax and enjoy the lodge’s facilities, including its famous infinity pools overlooking the valleys, or embark on a bike ride through the surrounding villages to discover the beauty of rural Sapa at your own pace.

After breakfast, transfer to Thanh Phu to begin your exploration of the Ban Ho Valley.
Walk through peaceful landscapes towards Ban Ho village, inhabited by the Tay ethnic group, known for their traditional stilt houses and close connection to nature.
Observe daily life that has remained largely unchanged for generations. Enjoy a warm lunch with a local family, offering a genuine moment of cultural exchange.
If the weather permits, relax by a nearby waterfall before returning to your lodge.

After checking out around midday, depart Sapa and begin your scenic journey back to Hanoi through the picturesque landscapes of Northern Vietnam.

Flights within Vietnam are operated by Vietnam Airlines, using a modern Airbus and Boeing fleet.
3. Rail Journeys
Some itineraries include train travel (e.g., Hanoi–Hue, Hanoi–Lao Cai) in air-conditioned cabins with comfortable berths. A slower pace than flying, but a memorable cultural experience.
International flights to/from Vietnam are not included. We recommend booking from your departure country, as prices are usually more competitive. Many airlines operate to Vietnam, with direct flights from Paris, Toronto, and other major hubs.

- You may request to modify your booking up to 14 days before departure, subject to availability.
- Any additional costs resulting from changes (e.g., hotel or airline adjustments) are payable by the traveller.
Cancellation Policy
Should you need to cancel your trip, the following fees apply based on the number of days before departure:
- 30+ days: 10% of total trip price
- 15–30 days: 20%
- 8–14 days: 30%
- 4–7 days: 40%
- Less than 72 hours: 50%
